Mango and pineapple salsa


  • 1 – 1 ½  cup Keitt Mango (or similar variety), cubed 
  • ½  – ¾ cup pineapple, cubed
  • ⅓  cup / ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • ¼  cup freshly squeezed lemon juice 
  • Salt
  • Optional – 1- 2 serrano chiles, deseeded and deveined, cut in thin strips (if you like it hot, do not leave the seeds and cut into slices)

  1. Placed cubed mango and pineapple in a large bowl, add red onion and cilantro and mix carefully until well combined, making sure the cubed fruit remains intact. 
  2. In a small bowl combine the orange and lemon juice and pour over the salsa. Season with salt and mix again. Add serrano chile if using. 
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt and/or lemon/orange juice to taste. 
  4. Serve as a side to fish dishes.
